When Alchemy's platform team needed developers across Cigna to build and maintain Backstage templates, the documentation to support that work barely existed. These samples represent a slice of the templating documentation built from the ground up — covering the tools template builders use most: TechDocs and MkDocs plugin references, the Template Editor for live preview and testing, the Form Playground for iterating on parameter forms, and a scaffolded starting point for new template development. Each topic was written for a technical audience that needed precision, not hand-holding.
